Earth.

On this island it is just me, the kitten, and my hands kneading away at dough.  With new friends traveling to and fro and all familiar faces an ocean away I find stability in the mossy green - snow covered mountains always on the horizon - the redwoods that make you feel so small and young - and the hints of springtime showing up in sprouting buds.

There have been many ferry rides back and forth for the last two weeks, but now I have returned and intend to thoroughly nest and discover in my last 3 months here.  After a bit of time away, when window gazing from the ferry back to Vancouver Island -it really hit me- I am living in British Columbia, and it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

finally, asheville.

I feel like I'm back where I supposed to be. Asheville holds a lot of my best memories.  I've been able to catch up with old friends and mainly spend a lot of time reading and writing on a rock in the middle of a stream.  I wish I could just live this life forever.

the water was so cold and tasted better than any bottled water i've ever had

noah dipped his head in and i splashed my feet around

i didn't want to leave

If I don't stop aging after this I'm going to be disappointed.

purgatory chasm.

Sunday morning I was invited by a coworker to do an outdoor thing!  Struggling to wake up at 7 am was completely made up for by the opportunity to get out of the city, breathe some real air, and do some fun movin' around. We drove up to massachusetts to a large split in the earth called purgatory chasm! I would love to be able to do something like this everyday before a shift at work, but, we'll see. 

In other news, work and school have caught up with me a bit these few days, that plus someone shattering the driver seat window on my car to steal a few valuables has all left me feeling pretty blahh :c - luckily, Melissa is coming tomorrow and everything will get better, weeee!
