wildfire picnics.

My lovely coworker Sophie set up 3 different picnics using breads, treats, and lunch options from the bakery - and then we photographed them!

Here are some of the photos I took // a look at some of the things I make!  I had so much fun helping to arrange different designs and adjusting the lighting that I was thinking, 'hey, why don't I just do this for a living?' But I like being in on the making of the things too.  Some of the photos made it to the Wild Fire facebook page and might be used on the updated website!

**check out Sophie's blog!  She's exploring raw/whole foods and blogging along the way.

to washington.

Last weekend I took the ferry on over to Washington to go visit my close friend Melissa.  Here are some of the sweetest moments from my trip!

snack & swim.

We made these by the water (but much less pretty) because those are all already our favorite foods.  Swimming at sunset feels like magic - the light bounces off everything in just the right way.  I really, mainly love having my dear old friend so near.

a picnic.

These last couple of weeks I've been going to Quaker meetings, so,  I've made some really nice new friends. And I heard the best thing to do with new friends is have a picnic in 75 degree weather.  So, we did. We were so happy sitting there and grazing that before we knew it 3 hours had passed.  Plus, a lady brought her two daughters and I think we were all charmed by the little things that they said.

an ode.

All right, I was really bad at photographing this weekend, but just trust me when I say that it was filled with good things: fireplaces, hot apple cider, laughs, the picture game, a skype date with my brother, exploring, and, and, and.  Anyway, last night I put on some Devendra and really started to miss my old home, this place called Asheville, NC. So, go sit out on your porch, drink some weird tea in a mason jar, put on some Nick Drake, and look at these photos.
